Default '97 Town & Country

I'm working on a '97 T&C and the problem I'm seeing is the vehicle has intermittent something in fuel system. Turn on the key and the fuel gauge registers half a tank (correct amount) and will start. Another time you turn key on it shows empty and will spin over, but won't start like it has no fuel. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a simple solution? Thank you for your time.

and the other gauges wont work on the cluster as well correct? Smack the top of the dash see if they come back to life then fire it up.

There is a known on this generation whereby the solder joints found on the rear of the gauge cluster crack producing a variety of problems, so this would be the first place I would check. Re-soldering them usually cures to problem.

I want to thank those who responded to my plea for help ... seems as though it was just that ... solder joints. I pulled the cluster and hit each solder joint and I now have a very happy customer (my cousin). Thanks again guys!
