Default 99 voyager oil leak,

Recently brought a 99 voyager 2.5TD, and started to notice a few drops of oil, nothing to loose sleep about, couldn't see where exactly it was coming from, but was down the back of the engine (from what best I could see) sent it to a local garage who said oil was coming from the turbo, but as long as I kept it topped up and it wasn'r pouring out it would be OK.

got to work the other day and the oil light came on, checked and it was dry, filled it with 5 ltrs, 60 miles later it was dry again, what ever was dripping before suddenly got a lot worse!

any ideas?

Thanks

MAtt

Default oil leak 2.5l crd

I am having the same or similar problem. Leak is getting worse and oil is spreading towards the rear of the car. It comes from the area of the turbo, however it is impossible to inspect anything there. It could as well be the cam cover above the turbo. Frequently there is this nasty whine/screech coming from the same area making the turbo even more suspicious(only at 1700-2500 rpm)
Could do with some more response on here, since this problem seems typical for the CRD 2.5l
