Default aftermarket swaybars

I have a 2001 GC and was thinking about putting on a heavier sway bar. I'm actually not sure if it has one on the rear right now or not; haven't looked. I've put Addco bars on other cars before and loved how they handled. Hellwig offers rear bars that are 3/4" diameter and Addco has a rear bar that is 1 1/4". Anybody ever do this? How do the front end linkscome apart from the swaybar? Thanks.
