Default Another side door issue

Does anyone know how the electric sliding side door on a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country works? Mine will occasionally work fine and then it will make a loud noise as if a gear wasn't quite engaging with whatever it is supposed to engage. It will do this for about 5 seconds and then it will stop. If I open the outside handle it will work fine. It may work right if I do it again or it may not. The other door seems to work well mostly but at times it will just hum when I hit the remote button but do nothing. I have replaced the actuator twice with one off ebay. It worked for a while the first time and did not work correctly with the second one at all leading me to think it is something else. I can't find out or figure out how it is supposed to work. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

I've had a number of power sliding door T&C's and never had more of a problem than a broken wire inside the plastic track along the bottom. BUT I do know that the rollers and pivot arm for the middle roller track need to be lubed at least every 6 months, or the door will "act up" during operation and either reclose or reopen when not desired. Did you check the gog gear and track in the rocker panel area for broken gear teeth?

I have not. I can look but the noises seem to be coming from the rear of the door. I guess something like this could prevent whatever holds the door open from releasing. I can try it. I also have no idea what a gog gear is but I will google it and see if I can figure it out. Thanks.
