Battery issue
Bought my Voyager 2.8 Diesel 2004 from a car dealer and the battery had been changed without me knowing. Everything was fine until recently when i cannot start it in the morning and have to jump start the car.
As the car still has warranty left do I have to replace the battery with a proper Chrysler battery or can I just get an equivalent replacement?
Mylocal dealer wanted me to get through them but is this just so that they get the money? Does it matter what make the battery is for warranty?
i am in the uk so not sure how this relates to the US...

Can't answer the warranty question, but did you check on the price of the the dealer battery vs. aftermarket? When I bought a dealer battery for my Honda, it wasn't much more expensive than a replacement aftermarket battery. Less than $10 more IIRC. I've since found that dealer parts seem to be hit and miss with regard to how their price is relative to the aftermarket. Sometimes they're pretty close, and sometimes we're talking100-200% more expensive.
