Default Bluetooth and Uconnect conundrum

Hi all. Just bought a 2011 T&C w/ Uconnect on the 430N. Also just bought a Droid Bionic phone. I have paired the phone w/ the car and the BT is working fine once connection is made. Here's my question. I notice if the BT is enabled on the phone when I start the car, the phone and car connect; however if BT is off on my phone when I start the car, and then subsequently I turn the BT on in the phone while the car is already on, it does not connect to the Uconnect. Does the car only search for BT devices when you first turn it on? I have an app that sets my BT to "on" automatically once I leave my home, but by that time I am already driving down the road, and the car doesn't seem to see my phone then. Any ideas? thanks

Default U-connect

Check to see if the u-connect lists any other phones and what the priority is. Make sure your phone is number 1 priority. Also, if you have a BT headset make sure it is off.
