Default Bluetooth UConnect vs Motorola IHF1000

I have a 2007 with Nav. The UConnect, as I understand, if I had it installed now would not run through the nav system or rear view mirror but Mopar does now have a UConnect that can be installed. There is also the Motorola IHF1000 that has great reviews and great feedback from he two places I called.

So....which would you get and why? What is so different with the UCOnnect that I oculd have installed now vs factory installed? Anyone know or can give clariity on this for me?

Default RE: Bluetooth UConnect vs Motorola IHF1000

I just Googled the Motorola. Seems as tho it is the same as the UConnect. The Motorola does use a small speaker, or option for hooking it upto theradio of the vehicle. I think theone of the benefits from UConnect is that it is made for the vehicle, no splicing of wires, plug and play, no problems down the road. It alsoworks with the factory radios seamlessly. I have UConnect in both my vehicles, and the both work exceptionally well. The callers on the other side don't even know that they are on speaker phone. I've learn't my lesson when I have the kids in the vehicle, to tell my buddies to watch their language! lol
