I have a 2001 Town & Country LXI with 69,000 miles on it. I found the rocker panels on both the right and left sides are rusted through. The right side for its full length, the left side from the sliding door back to the wheel well. It appears that water is getting into the rocker and not drying out. The right rear wheel well seam has rotted through. The lift gate and one area under the cladding on the right side has also rusted through. The pinch seams at the doors, and lift gate also show rust.This vehicle has been garaged since I bought it. I have owned Chrysler products for many years and this is the first time I have had this problem. I normally go 100,000 mile before changing vehicles and have up to 165,000 mile without rust, is Chrysler cutting corners on pinch seal sealing?
Has anyone else had this problem and if you have has Chrysler given you any satisfaction on repairs. I am now 5 months past the end of the rust through warranty and the dealer has as much as said to bad.

 

I would complain a little higher up, that rust was there in the warranty period if it is coming from the inside out, and they should realize that, they don't want to deal with it in my opinion. Quite frankly, I wouldn't either... big pain in the buttt!
