Default Brakes on 2004 3.3 G/V (T&C)

Hi,


What is involved in removing the ABS control block from above the Xmember? Is it as impossible as it looks?(!!)

The last time someone renewed this block on here it turned out to be a simple wheel sensor after all the work.... So what's your problem.

The problem is solved - partially at least. I had fitted new brakes all round (pads, callipers and rotors) but couldn't bleed the rt rear/lt front. The brakes had been ok before but a slight shudder from the rear on heavy braking. I eventually found a split in that circuit's pipe - m/cyl to abs block. It looked impossible to remove the pipe from that block, hence the post.
I've now cut a hole in the floor to access that pipe union which, sods law, was the least accessible on the block. Just got to make up and fit a new, slightly re-routed pipe.
It seems the pipe split while bleeding the good circuit as no leak before but pipe had rubbed thin against wiring conduit. I only got to find the split by taking out the wheel-arch liner.

As a follow-up, in the end I had to order a new pipe. Being in the UK, it had to be ordered through a FIAT dealer and sent from Italy. I decided to get both pipes that run from the master cyl. to ABS module, to be on the safe side while I had the hole in the floor!!
They were awkward to get in but everything now ok.
