bye GV :( and thx forum
These reliable brutes.... You can get so fond of them, almost like family. Mine actually has never let me down, despite the lack of maintenance before I got it. And if I'm GOING to have an accident, I hope it's in mine and not some tin-box.
Leedsman.

Yeh same here, mine I recon was a posh Taxi around Birmingham, 200k plus miles now and the rest. Something is wrong with the engine though compared with my previous cars, it doesn't use any oil and that's not right.
Six years is a record for me holding onto a car must be something to do with: the comfort, power, cheap running, good mpg for a big beast, nothing going wrong except for service items like: discs, pads and shoes.
She's getting seen to soon yet again when weather heats up after sitting all forlorn over winter for: shoes, discs and pads. Then MOT...For another year...Maybe get another next year...Shooosh don't tell her that...

After some time without my GV and riding around in my VW Transporter I can conclude that where the GV was a very convenient luxurios car with good cargo option, the Transporter is a great cargo van which almost drives like a very luxurios car.
My T5 Transporter is equiped with parking sensors front and rear, leather captain chairs, Cruise control, Airco, fully isolated cargo bay, etc etc etc. but it doesnt have the "luxe feel"' of the GV.
But I have plenty more room for weekend camping trips now :P
