TrueDelta recently released updated Car Reliability Survey results for the Chrysler minivans. Repair rates are in terms of the number of successful repair trips per 100 vehicles per year.

2000: 147, about average, marginal sample size

2001: 214, worse than average

2002: 125, average; marginal sample size

2003: 117, average

2005: 109, worse than average

2006: 71, average

2007: 77, average; small sample size

2008: 89, still worse than average, but a large improvement from earlier

A big thank you to everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in August and November. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years.

2006: 103, worse than average

2005: 96, about average

2003: 119, about average

2002: 128, about average

2001: 205, worse than average

Same results on both pages.

We've also introduced two new statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds," to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop.

The percentage with no repairs is about 59 for the 2008 and 40 for the 2005, and the percentage of lemons is about 3 for the 2008 and 9 for the 2005. These stats require more data, so we don't yet have them for other model years.

Recently enhanced the related repair history survey so that it can (optionally) be used as a personal car maintenance record for cars 2000 MY and newer.

As always, more participants would be helpful. Updated Car Reliability Survey results in May.
