The bit with the cable is the cold start device, I'll try and take a picture of the fuel cut off solenoid on our Frontera, which is the same engine.

I did notice that at 0:28 on the video there is a wire with a red connector hanging loose?

Regards
Richard

This is an injection pump off of a Mitsubishi Shogun (I think) but the fuel cut off valve is in the same place as your pump. Check for 12V going to it when the ignition is on

Hi again tfb.

So actually I have worked with the wrong part, hehe. I will try to find this cut off valve tomorrow, but maybe it will easier with the cold start device out of the way anyway.

The wire with the red connector you see in the video is the connector which was attached to the cold start device

I will try to check the shut off valve tomorrow.

Today I found the correct part tfb. It had 12V on it (which I was not hoping). Anyway, I took it out of the car to have a look at it, and i removed the valve inside and attached the top back on, so it would be all open. Still the engine isn't getting diesel. The fuel injectors are all dry. I also took off the top cap of the pump, everything looked okay, but it was pretty dry. So what do you think it is? Must it be something internal in the injection pump, or do you have any other suggestions?

Really appreciate your help tfb
