Default Crankshaft Sensor

I have to replace my crankshaft sensor and I unscrewed the one that is in there, but cannot get it out?
The bracket for the Alt is in the way, is there a certian way to remove this, without taking everything apart?
I have a 1997 3.8 T & C
Thanks for any help

ok the crank shaft sensor is on the tranny on the driver side below and behind the intake. here is a pic. Make sure u have a green dot spacer on the sensor head or u will not get teh correct clearence and snap the sensor or make it not read right and no start.
