Default Dreaded P0601 Code and Bad Idle

I am taking my Grand Voyager 3.3 Uk 2002 back to Chrysler Next week for a full diagnostic check for this P0601 code, but a few questions:

1) Chrysler say you can sometimes get ghost codes so it might not be the PCM - is that possible ?.

2) They say the PCM for that car is on backorder with no forecast date !, they say chrysler parts are in short supply - is that true ?.

3) It has now developed a rough ide, could that be to do with the pcm failing ?, or the other code P0403 which is the EGR ?.

Thanks
