Default Driver window not working.

My Driver window on my 2007 town and country goes up and down when it wants to. Sometimes i will push up to raise the window it will go up halfway and then just stop. It will take a while for the window to go up. Is this an electrical problem or the window motor?

thanks

Do you find that if you slam the door shut while holding the power window button it will go up or down fine?

If so, read this tread first:

Many, many people have had the same problem as you and many have found the fix at that thread works. It worked for me until the regulator broke due to me not securing the motor back like it should had been.

The steps involved look intimidating at first but it's really pretty easy if you just follow the steps one at a time.

Not much help to you now but just in case anybody else comes across this thread in the future, I had problems with the glass in the drivers door not opening/closing properly. Had to resort to banging the door card just below the armrest to get the glass to move but eventually, after a few weeks it wouldn't budge at all. I eventually traced the problem to the motor/regulator but Chrysler wanted £293.00 plus vat so I stripped the motor down and discovered that one of the carbon brushes had worn down and was no longer contacting the commutator. I found a company on the Internet who make brushes to order and they made me 3 pairs for less than £20.00. My window has now been working properly for over 4 months.

£293.......I bought a motor regulator assembly from Chrysler a few months ago for £95. Thought it seemed a bit cheap. They must have made a mistake!

If you have a local Model Shop near you, then ask for a pair of 540 motor brushes, will set you back a maxiumum of £5, I had plenty here so was a free fix.

I didn't touch the regulator assembly, it looked too complicated. I unscrewed the THREE bolts that hold the motor and regulator mechanism to the inner door panel, then undid the two cross (Phillips) headed screws that hold the motor to the regulator. It's not strictly necessary to undo the THREE bolts, it just makes access to the two cross headed screws easier. The motor body with the armature can then be pulled out. You can now access the carbon brushes if you need to replace them, then put everything back together.
