engine light on

PO403 code came up. 99 Town and country 3.8. Can anyone tell me what it is and how to fix it?

engine code PO403

I have an engine code of PO403 and was told the problem would be the egr valve, problem is my van an 02 town and country has no erg valve. what could make the code come on given no egr valve
