Default Faulty Speedo Help Auto 2.8 crd

Hi
I have a 2005 2.8 voyager Crd Auto.
My Speedo refuses to work, I have done the reset and there is no error codes. The cluster is calibrated as it should be. I have even replaced the cluster but to no avail.
im at a loss, there is no lights on the dash warning me of any issues. The gear box doesn't seem to have trouble shifting and there is no loss of power.

can any of you please help me shed any light on the problem?
Thanks

hmm, that is odd. It could be the transmission control module it not sending out the speed message.

You'll need decent diagnostics to view the data from the TCM. Depending upon where you are the country I may be able to help you out.

Richard

unfortunately not, I'm in Cambridgeshire.

Is the dash showing a box around which gear you are in P,R,D etc? as that will prove that the dash is talking to the EATX (gearbox ecu). If the gearbox is changing gears at what seems to be the correct point then the input and output speed sensors must be working - which is what makes it a bit of an odd fault

I was just going to say your speed fault resembles the one on Evertb's, but you've done the reset.

There is a box around the gears when changing. This is starting to feel expensive -.-

I might have to head up to Derby one day next week, is that near you?

It'll take me a few mins to scan for faults and have a look at the live data

Regards
Richard

He's about an hour north of Derby on the M1, but the car drives ok and a mobile will serve as a speedo on the journey.
