Default Fuse keeps blowing

Posting for my brother-in-law. He has an '04 (I think) Town and Country, bought it new. Was talking with him last week, he said that the IOC (again, I think that is what it is called) fuse blows as soon as he puts a new one in. sounds like a short of some sort.

He said the fuse powers accessories when the ignition is off (IOC is Ingition Off Circuit). The doors don't work, locks, things like that. All works fine if he starts the engine, seems that another circuit takes over.

Any ideas what might be going on?

Thanks.

I agree that this could be a tough one to find. As we discussed it, we thought there were two choices. One, to live with it, two, to let the dealer see what they can find. Could cost many hours of labor, they might not ever get to the bottom of it.

Was hoping that this was the kind of thing that others had seen before, and that the location of the short was one of tow or three places that someone could point to. Looks like that may not be the case, we'll see.

I have not see a common place for a short to ground on the IOD ckt no the prob with that ckt is that there are tons of things or wires that is fed by that fuse.
