Hi Bob
I run a 3.3 Grand Voyager on LPG & get about 20MPG dotting about, on a recent long trip with a ROOFBOX @ 70mph i got 20.1 MPG.
I was doing 20,000 miles a year at first so I got my £2,200 for the conversion back in a year. You can get it converted cheaper though, my mate had his CRV done for £1,600 last year.
I've had the conversion for 3 years now, I'm up to 165,000 miles [60,000 on LPG] and its sweat as a nut.
I'd do it if you intend keeping the car & you can get gas easily near your home.
Hope this was useful
Gareth

PS. I find the only way to propperly check fuel useage is full tant to full tank. Mulitiply the liters by 4.54, that gives you gallons. Then devide the miles by the gallons eg 200 / 10 = 20 mpg

Hi Gareth, Had so many differing reports on LPG. A conversion here is about 1600 and that is a mutipoint system. I reckon it would take 2 years to recoup the costs but I really do want to keep the car and intend spending money on it but I still dont know if a conversion is where I wannna spend the money. I understand the bit about working out MPG I did it that way before and I will do it that way again. Then I will need to look at the numbers again. Thanks for the info.

Robert.

Default Gas Mileage

My 05 T&C is rated 18/26 MPG. Around town I get 14-15 and on the highway, the absolute best is 21 mpg. Chrysler is notorious for inflating their mileage claims. My Durango that was supposed to get 13/18 was lucky to break 10 mpg! BTW, the overhead display value is always 1-2 mpg above the actual. Trade it in if you can and don't mention the low mpg....

If I'm on my BEST behaviour - smooth gentle driving, minimal braking, plenty of coasting and motorway cruising at 55mph then I can fairly easily achieve 27mpg out of my 3.8

Normal driving, 18-20 mpg - it's pretty flat around here TBH

That is calculated mileage, not from the trip computer - coasting at 40mph down the back lanes returns 99mpg on the realtime display, that always makes me smile...
