Default Grand Voyager 2.8 CRD electrical issues

Grand Voyager 2.8 CRD 2005 automatic 298K miles

Would appreciate any help/views/suggestions on the following.
1st problem.
About 2 yrs ago my GV wnet into "limp" mode, ie wouldn't go above 2nd gear. Disconnected the battery and problem went away for a couple of months, the returned, did the same, it gradually got worse. I had bought another voyager and fixed the problems it had so used that one instead (yes I know, sucker for punishment!). But at the start of 1/2 term I thought I must get this sorted, vehicle had been standing unused for about 8 months. So I put a fully charged battery on and got the following.

2nd problem.
No ignition key then get
Open the door and interior lights flicker.
Hazards flash far too quickly
Turn sidelights on and get a beeping noise, a bit like dial up modems used to sound, coming from the steering column I think.

Ignition key in accessory position then get
The beeping noise.
Turn headlights on and the odometer and gear selection windows go blank.

Ignition key in run position then get
Air bag light flashes in unison with the headlights about 10 seconds on then 1 second off.
indicators not working.
Hazards flash too fast.
Headlights turn dash info off.

Engine starts and runs fine but with the same problems as when key in run position.

What I have done so far
Ensure battery charged, terminals clean
14.4 volts (apparently smooth) alternator output
Removed ITPM, cleaned all terminals I could get at without removing the guide plate. Cleaned cable connectors. All with brush and contact cleaner..
Substituted ITPM with a replacement and got exactly same symptoms.
Borrowed a TopDon code reader and managed to get it to communicate to a degree (wouldn't read the VIN number)and got the following

TCM channel 8 is open ( that 'll be the limp mode fault?)
BCM communication fault 04
IPM/FCM BCM communication fault
SKIM this displayed an image, looks like an open box with a curly line and a small circle above it!!!!!

I'm starting to think wiring loom fault underneath the TPM?

Would appreciate your views
