Having a nightmare with electrics-can anyone help? Intermittent fault leads to seat going backwards and forwards, wiper on and off, pinging alarm, all dashlights on and off, headlights on and off and all at the same time.Tried auto-electrician without success!

Tell your auto electrician person to peel open the door harness in the front door jambs and look for broken or almost broken wires. Another trouble area is one of the front seat frames (mostly the passenger) is pinching the wiring harness. One more spot would be behind the cluster where the wiring rubs on the dash frame.

The reason you are getting all the crazy stuff is the interior BUS circuit goes insane and the symptoms may not be the same every time. If someone is not familair with it, it's dam near impossible to track it down. There was also a recall on the sliding door harnesses where they CAN rub on the body.
