Angry headlight sockets

RE 2005 T&C minivan:
Did Chrysler change the damn sockets for the plugs? i bought new headlights and the plugs are incompatible. what's up with that?

Here's what I need: the magic words/code/spell to make sure I get the right headlights for my 2005 Town & Country Touring minivan with the 3.8L engine and 119" WB (I actually measured it to be sure).

Where your lights OEM or aftermarket? There are apparently a number of European spec aftermarket lights out there and they have a different connector.

that may well be the case, but when I ordered, there was no mention of Euro spec. they are aftermarket, advertised as OEM spec. FWIW.
I'm returning these, apparently with no issue. apparently. i'm hesitant about reordering until i know what went wrong so i can fix this.
