Angry headlight sockets

RE 2005 T&C minivan:
Did Chrysler change the damn sockets for the plugs? i bought new headlights and the plugs are incompatible. what's up with that?

Here's what I need: the magic words/code/spell to make sure I get the right headlights for my 2005 Town & Country Touring minivan with the 3.8L engine and 119" WB (I actually measured it to be sure).

thank you for your time.

Where your lights OEM or aftermarket? There are apparently a number of European spec aftermarket lights out there and they have a different connector.

that may well be the case, but when I ordered, there was no mention of Euro spec. they are aftermarket, advertised as OEM spec. FWIW.
I'm returning these, apparently with no issue. apparently. i'm hesitant about reordering until i know what went wrong so i can fix this.
thanks.
