Default Wipers and turn signals erratic

Hi, so my 96 T&C has had issues both with turn signals and Wipers.

It started with the Wipers activating with out touching them, maybe 1 or 2 sweeps occasionally. I thought it may be my dad's ghost messing with me since he died recently. Then the left or right turn signal would occasionally not work, with all lights ok.

This morning the low speed wiper quit, high speed still works, low speed will work at times.
Would this most likely be the switch? I thought maybe BCM, but since both turn signals and Wipers at once, it's probably the switch.
Thoughts?

It sounds like it could be an issues with the multi-function switch. I think picking one up from the junk yard would be the cheapest way forward, at least it would be my first step.

Still around? You can test the MFS with a multimeter. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Access the switch connector in the steering column. Disconnect the switch connector. Test here:

Wiper low pin 6 to 7 should see 65 ohms
Wiper high pin 5 to 8 should see 1 ohm max.

Left turn pin 4 to 8 should see continuity (zero ohms)
Right turn pin 3 to 8 " "

Turn them on and off many times testing each time.

Hi

I changed the BCM on my 2.5 diesel grand voyager 3 for an other issue and the intermittently coming on wiper stayed. The wiper issue is either the switch or the wiper motor itself.

Try swapping the wiper relay in the fuse panel with another same relay, Had this happen to me, was a faulty relay.

Take of the steering colum cowl and use some contact cleaner spray on the multi switch . This switch is in the bus com. system and is sensitive to bad connection .

Hi

Good idea. Especially as the directional signs became twice now inop, left and right. After switching several times with the lever, they came back alive. Looks like bad contacts on the lever. Will need to check this up.

Wiper problem , had this problem with rear wiper and it turn out it was a bad ground connection to the rear door made a new one direct from car to wiper motor . From factory the ground is drawn througe the door to a very simple ground conector boltet to the door but not very effective.
