Installing Brake Controller on T&C with Knee Bolster Airbag
Hello All,
I'm the proud owner of a 2011 Town and Country Limited with Leather (Absolutely Gorgeous
). I bought one with the trailer package because I tow a pop-up trailer. The trailer weighs enough that it needs brakes on it.
The typical mounting location for a trailer brake controller would be on the knee bolster, normally the right side where it is easy to reach while driving. The 2011 that we bought comes with a Knee Bolster Airbag and I don't think that it is wise to mount a big chunk of steel and hard plastic on top of something that will explode violently in a collision.
So the question is, where is the recommended location to mount a trailer brake controller?
Thanks.
