Default Need help on removing AC tubes from expansion valve

I am replacing the rear evaporator on a 2012 Town & Country and am having an issue with removing the tubing from the expansion valve so that I can get the AC/Heater box out of the well. I've removed the nut off the one bolt under the car near the rear passenger tire. I cannot get the tubes out. Some videos have shown them coming right out after the nut removal and others have shown lots of penetrating oil, hammering, and heat. Ive tried it all...am I overseeing something that is specific to the 2012? thanks in advance for any input
