No A/C

No A/C
Recently purchased a 2000 Chrysler Voyager with 82K. runs great, but on the first hot day which we just had, I turned the A/C on and to my surprise (?), NO A/C. What would be the first steps I need to check what's wrong. Starting with the least expensive naturally. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
