Default noise from rear of crd

All day today my 2002 voyager 2.5crd has been making a noise like an electric fuel pump is on it's way out at the rear. Do these have electric pumps in the tank?

Default Noise from Rear.

Its interesting to say this that its been mentioned on here that there's a heater fan in the back somewhere.
Faults of blower not running, resistor pack, etc..
Maybe someone on here can give us a description of where the ducting, fan, etc.. is. May have to interrogate it myself one day.

I noticed what looks like a vent pipe underneath. Couple of times when the weather is freezing i've had what looks like steam coming out of it.

The noise that i originally posted about has disappeared. It was doing it for a while then two days ago it just stopped. I didn't do anything.

Hi are you meaning rear end or middle under UK passenger seat. If this is the Aux heater exhaust and there is steam coming out of it get it out of there as the heaters heat exchanger may be fractured like mine did and I nearly lost the engine when the steam became coolant..

What do you mean by 'get it out of there'? It did it twice during the winter and hasn't done it since march.

Well if steams away and noise is away, everythings is ok now.
But with this Aux heater underneath and coolant pipes, as of all cars you have just got to check for signs of coolant leaks on drive etc...
