Default PCM Update

Just took my 2012 T&C in to the shop for brake squealing and they told me it was going to get a PCM update it was listed as TSB 18-021-12. Any Ideas what this addressed? I can't see them doing an update for the hell of it.

That is odd, but those were the numbers on the sheet they gave me explaining what all had been done to the car. The service manager said it looked like it got 2 software updates but only one was listed on my sheet but he was reading from his computer which looked like it had more detailed info. For the record, I have never gotten an engine light.

Good bet you're still under warranty. The dealership can claim it and get reimbursed by Chrysler. It's a win win situation for you and your dealership.

Yeah, it only has about 7500 miles on it. I did notice that since the "2 software updates" the transmission seems to be more composed. The shifts on that thing were a hot mess now it always knows what gear to be in, no jerkiness, etc.
