Question away from the normal
Does this group ban people from having/showing their opinion. Im part of a different forum for t hese minivans and without SAYING a rude word to a person, i was banned for a month only because i found several of this one persons posts unhelpful. Simply clicking a unhelpful tab had this person contacting t he mods and probably pouting over it like a child. I do find it hilarious , its like they think my life wont go on without being active in a group lol
Like Raptor 07, I have no idea, I do have a [newbie] opinion though.
I'm for a 'thumbs up' helpful button as a crude indicator of how helpful the post was to both the (1) responder, and to the (2) many many hundreds who only ever read .. .. and never post. I am however against an 'unhelpful' button which was / is redundant anyway as a helpful button already pre-exists.
The unhelpful button is a negative, which is wide open to abuse, consumes unnecessarily the use of moderators time, and is altogether a very silly design element of forum's for the reason already stated. If anyone feels for any reason that a post needs contradicting s/he can do so here in in the open in the full glare of all the members. We each come here to help and be helped, in perspectives terms what one person finds unhelpful another may think is good, that's the nature of a public forum.
