Default Rear brake Load compensators 1997 Gr. Vo.

Hi .
I've been under my Voyager today, just giving it a check over, it MOT [anual test] is due in November.
The brake pipes to the load compensators [up near the right side rear wheel] look quite rusty, it wasan advisory last year. But worse, I pressed lightly on the rubber cap on the end of one of the compensators & a tiny bit of fluid came out!
My questions are.
1. Does anyone know where I can get hold of a pair of compensators &
2. Could I do away with them? , just pipe it straight through?
Its got ABS to handle things if she locked up, but would it just lock all the time? Would it pass test?
Also, I intend to sell the car in the next 6 months.
any thoughts on this would be welcome.
Gareth

Edit. I've just been reading the testers manual. It should fail test, but its a case of if its "obviously missing" or the tester KNOWS it should be there.
