Rear hatch won't open

Rear hatch won't open

Intermittedly I can't open the rear hatch on my 1997 T&C van. I'm thinking that it is a problem with the lock linkage. Is there a way of accessing it or opening the hatch from the interior?

yeah pop out the little plug in the trim panel then use a screwdriver to pop it open!
