Default Rear Shock bush

I have a uk spec 2004 grand voyager 2.8crd

The rear suspension is the leaf spring and shock set up.

The top shock mounting bush has fallen apart. Unfortunately it appears that you can only get replacement bushes for the self levelling suspension shocks.

Has anyone replaced this bush with one from another vehicle?

If so, can you let me know what you've used?

Is this what you bought?

REAR SHOCK ABSORBER BUSH CHRYSLER GRAND/VOYAGER 2001-2007 SELF-LEVELLING ONLY | eBay

This is for the self levelling suspension.

I called the guy from jeepchrysler parts and he said that it wouldn't fit the standard shock. (or is he just trying to sell me a new shock). But all I could turn up was bushes for self levelling.

Thats the ones

do you have standard shocks then?
the self leveling are wider looking than standard shocks. Everything is self contained, no wires / connections etc.

I replaced them with some standard shocks (£35 a pair) whilist fininding the time to fit the new bushes

Looks like the shock on mine.

Do I have self levelling ones and I didn't know???

2004 crd 2.8d

there is a single leaf spring with a fairly large looking shock about 3" in diameter facing 45degrees forwards.

There are no wires or hydraulic pipes coming out of it.

Yep, they are the self leveling ones (no external connections)
So those bushes will be the ones you need

I'll measure the distance between the tyre and the arch, and then get the kids and the wife into the back and see if it self levels!!!!

Thanks,

The bushes took some time to replace, but eventally got them in.
Some info on the shocks

Each load-leveling shock absorber is a self-leveling,
self-contained vehicle leveling system and shock
absorber combined. It does not require an external
compressor, hoses, or height leveling sensors. All the
height leveling sensors, hydraulic pump, etc., are
contained inside the shock absorber. It uses road
inputs (bumps, stops, starts, turns, acceleration,
deceleration, etc.) to activate pumping, which results
in the extension and compression of the shock
absorber.

As far as I know! The Limited XS was the only one that came with the load leveling shocks. That and the later executive model...
