Revs very slow to drop

many thanxs glowplug,
that was my first thought a airintake leak hence the over fuelin, coz it sure does especially on first start up, spit and splutters till its warmed a bit. then revs keep holding once warm and drops eventually, sometimes its worse than others. does my head in lol
