Still stalling + Revs go very low
I have after alot of messing around trying to stop a leaking transmission, taken my Grand Voyager '98 to a Auto box Dealer, spent near as makes no difference £300 on it, they had told me the cause was a leaking solonoid, which has now been replaced, I also asked them to reseal the pan, which they have done, they also replaced some kind of tubing, basicaly they told me they resealed everything that would cause it to leak, and good news so far i have found no fresh marks on the driveway ! so that problem seems to have gone.
One thing i'm still not sure about now is, when i first had the car, it would sometimes stall when putting it into any gear, normaly R or D first thing in the morning, well I had the AIS Motor replaced about a month after buying the car, the problem has come back but only seems to do it after the car has been left for a long period of time, I was just wondering what else would cause this problem ?
Another thing that worries me still, is sometimes, appears to normaly be after accelerating hard when overtaking, or driving longer journeys, the revs will drop to around the 500 mark, sometimes just below, but the car doesnt stall. (before i had the autobox resealed, new solonoid, it would just stall) i'm just worried that when i brake it's going ot stall again, could it be anything to do with the torque converter, or some kind of sensor problem?
If anyone could help with the questions above i would be forever in your debt.

.Hey paul, heres what i think.the fliud level is low,if you had no problems before that then you need to check trans fluid level.if that does help ask the shop if the "quicked learned" the trans after the solinoid pack was replaced.they will know what your talking about.if the didn't do it ask them if the could.it takes no longer than 10 mins.get back to me moe!!
I had purchased ATF+4 as my local dealer cant get ATF+3 anymore, so they had 8 Litres of fluid which should have been plenty to fill it up again.
I dont understand what you mean by a "quicked learned" what does this do ? and can I do this myself, as i cant really be without the car again. even if it only takes 10 minutes for them.
I dont understand, if i have given them plenty of fluid, why would it be low ? or is 8 pints not enough to fill it.
Also on another subject, because this car has nearly done 300.000 miles, ive asked family members to give me money so i can repair/replace stuff onit, one thing i need to replace is the spark plugs, the front 3 i can get to fine, it's the rear 3, behind the inlet manifold. how do i remove the bit that say 3.3 on it...

Paul are you checking the car while its running in park?don't assume they put the correct amount in.check it your self. as for the atf4 thats fine the trans might like it better.
.quick learnhas to be done at the dealer ship with scan tool.as for you getting to the back plugs you can get the #3 and 5 spark plug by reaching behind.just above the trans.# 1 cyl plug without a lift is tuff.but iv'e done it this way i took the alt belt off and loosened the alt just enough to push it back towards the firewall (see photo) reaching you hands between the alt and the alt.bracket.good luck.watch knuckles!!moe

oh one more thing (honest) i have when braking a (lumpy feeling) in the car, not the pedal, like the either the front disc's are getting stuck on something, or the rear drums are getting stuck on something.. whats the best way to check this as i'm getting fed up with not bieng able to brake smoothly..

Quick learn is like resetting the trans computer.will only help if there is no other problems with trans .like just plain worn out.you said you have around 300,000 miles on it? thats unheard of here in the state of new jersey.congrads on that.! as for your "lumpy feeling" if you not feeling it in your foot it might be rear brake drums are out of round.moe.
