Running hot after new Serpentine/Tensioner/Idler
I just completed installation of a new serpentine belt, belt tensioner an idler pulley on my 2006 T&C (102K miles).
No new noise / burning smells, and the belt appears to be riding on center on all the pulleys. The vehicle was running/cooling normally prior to my replacing these components.
Now it heats to normal temperature and will remain there at idle;however, when driving up a hill the temperature will rise quickly, but then fall again once returned to idle. It is as is if the water pump isn't getting enough torsion when the vehicle is climbing.
Other than trying the old tensioner again, does any one have any troubleshooting tips for this ?
