Default Stalling Issue when slowing or stopping - Part 2

Good morning, I have spoken to my garage about my ongoing stalling problem and even though everything i have found on this issue points towards the Tourqe Converter Lock-up Clutch they seem to think it's an engine problem ? ofcourse they should know as they specialise in Auto Gearboxes, but i just want to know is this possible ?

Symptons:

Driving short town distances is fine, it does not stall.

Long Constant Motorway Driving is different, it normaly stalls after a prolonged period of constant motorway speed eg: between 50-80Mph it will stall when slowing down or coming to a stop, It did this once when i drove to Manchester afew weeks ago when pulling into the services, the revs drop quickly and the car stalls while it's still in motion.

The garage thinks it could be a sensor problem and i would like to know if this is the case, as i dont want to get ripped off.

Thanks.

Just a short note on the price of the two sensors from the Chrysler Dealership: both together was just over $100.00 (CKP-$48.50; CMP-$53.10). These are the list prices so this is probably the highest you will see them.

Could have gotten them for less from Advance, but we would had to wait a couple of days for them to come in....

Also, changing the CKP sensor from the top is the easier way to go with this vehicle. Just remove the air resonator box and air filter box top. Much easier and makes more sense than the Alldata way (raise the vehicle, reach around blind, etc.)[/align]
