Chrysler 300m jerks when accelerating, after slowing down
When driving the car I'll slow down to about 20 miles per hour, like when I'm turning a wide corner... When accelerating again, it feels like the car is in a higher gear than what is should be and in about 2 seconds after I accelerate, the transmission engages what feels like a lower gear than what it should be and the car jerks. It feels like the transmission is getting slammed.
I took it to a mechanic. He said he doesn't see anything wrong. He checked the engine mounts and drive axels and said they look fine.
The car does not jerk otherwise. This is the only situation that I can tell, where the car jerks.
Any ideas? Thanks

Miles, last trans fluid change ? These transmissions require AFT + 4 and get touchy as fluid ages.
Pull the fuse for the PCM or disconnect the battery for a few minutes to cause the trans to relearn shifts.

Some of the valves on the car were recently replaced (before it was sold to me), because the timing belt broke. The mechanic that did the work had a lien on the vehicle and the customer didn't want to pay for the work and I bought the car from the mechanic....father knows the mechanic who did the work. The work on the car was completed 11-7-14.
So, since all that work was done, they probably had the battery disconnected at some point, recently, so I'm not sure what disconnecting the battery would do, although I'll try it anyway. There are only 38,600 miles on the car. I have the invoice from all the work that the mechanic did, I don't see anything on here about the transmission fluid being changed, so I'll go ahead and have that done, at the very least.
