Default Starter Problem.

I have a Chrysler Town/Country 2002 3.8 engine when I try and start it the starter seems to be dragging before it starts after it starts it is ok the power doors work ok no other issues. My thoughts are a new starter. Is this the right direction to be looking in?

a starter will either work or not work there is no middle point its an electric motor. If it startes slow or draggs its the battery.

Thanks Chrysler Tech had the battery checked and it was on its way out I am glad I replaced it when I did other wise it would have cost quite a bit more $$$$.
