Default Starting problem

Hi Chrysler Tech,
I have been having the same problem with my voyager as Jewel40504
I have tried to use the key only to lock my Voyager and have found my second problem the key does not lock or unlock the doors. Do you normally have 2 keys 1 for the doors and one for starting the voyager.
If you do how easy is it to get a replacement key. I have been leaving the car open and it starts every time so this may be were my problem is. If you done get a second key how much should it cost to replace the box without an alarm.

what do u mean the key does not lock or unlock the door??? how do u get in? 1 key will work both doors and starting.
This box u are talking about U mean the BCM? ooo $500 just for the bcm and if u reallt have an alarm system u will need to replace teh PCM as well another 4 to 500. Plus programing of vin and install of both.
Give me the last 8 of the vin and i will see if u have an alarm from the factory.

I can use the black key fob to unlock the doors. I can't open the doors if I insert the key in any of the locks and this made me wonder if there was 2 keys for the voyager. I will take a not of the number and send it to you.
I think I may have to put buying the BMC on hold as it will cost over £500 in the uk.

Thanks Ian

then either the door lock cyls have been changed or the IGN key cly has been changed. Get a lock smith and see if u ahve the same in tumblers in the doors then all u would need to do is change the tumblers in the ign cly and cut a new key. Or ther other way is to change out the tumbers in what ever outside door keys u have your choice. Which ever is cheaper.
