Question Steering noise on hard turns

I've noted that when I turn the steering wheel completely (left or right, forward or reverse), I get a very loud cranking noise. This happens on my 2010 Town and Country, and to a lesser extent on my 2009 Journey. It did not happen on my 2000 Caravan Sport. If I back off of "COMPLETELY", the noise will disappear. Service says "nothing can be done". Other than the obvious "don't turn it all the way", is there something that can be done?

If it is indeed a problem, previous model years have had a problem with the filter screen in the reservoir getting clogged, decreasing fluid flow, creating a squeal. Replacing the reservoir fixed it. May or may not apply.

Again, no experience on 5th gen models but based on previous model years folks generally have to change the reservoir. That said, I would try a cleaning first.
