Default town & country 2001 xe

Hi. i was wondering if any could help me ..... i recently changed my battery an i have noticed this red light turn on by dash it looks like a small red dot ..... ??? what is it and how do i get rid of it.

it is located were the turn signals are located and were the oil light is located

I'm still fairly new to this stuff (in which case, someone more experienced may know better), but I think it may be the check engine light, in which case take a look at this:

http://www.allpar.com/fix/codes.html

and scroll down to the section on resetting codes. Please let us know if this does it.

Sounds like the VTSS light (alarm) is this the light that flashes when the alarm is on? It could have just got spiked it is normally on after a battery change but goes out as soon as you turn the ignition on and the indicators flash to confirm set up. could try disconnecting the battery again and let it all power down for 5 minutes then reconnect if not it has a fault.

Yes, the "red dot" is the factory alarm ... flashes when it's being armed IIRC.
