Default tpms warning after new tires installed

I'm getting a 'check tire pressure monitor system see owner's manual' after Discount tires installed new tires on my 2002 t&c. I took the pressure down to 25 lbs on each tire one at a time, and every time the 'one tire under pressure' warning came on, and went off after bringing each back to 40 lbs. This tells me the sensors in each tire work, how do I reset the tpms warning? it tells me I can retrain the pressures, but can't figure out how and don't understand why I would need to since all I did was replace tires. Help? I'm beginning to regret buying such a complicated vehicle.

Brought it back to Discount Tire, they went through the reset procedure and warning is gone.

Ok, the 'service tire system soon' warning came on the overhead again. I took it back to DT, they looked at it for over an hour and told me they are stumped. They say since the system recognizes low air pressure in all tires that the sensors are ok. All battery levels in the sensors are good. They tried the reset procedure 3 times, and the warning is still coming on about a minute after you start the van.
What do they need to do? pull all tires off and check all the sensors? is it possible one is broken even though it is sending correct pressure info to the module? pretty frustrating. The manager suggested it's a coincidence - yeah right, I've owned the van over a year and the first time I've ever seen this warning was 2 minutes after they replaced the tires and handed the key over to me. I don't like his suggestion, makes me think they are about to shrug responsibility off.

Just a follow up, because I know how frustrating it can be to search posts with no follow ups. I decided to just let it go and not bother the DT guys again. The light came on after every start for about a week (200-300 miles) then all of a sudden I noticed it stopped coming on, hasn't shown in over a week now. Apparently it takes a while to reset itself.
