Default Transmission Shudder at speeds around 40 mph

I have a 2007 Chrysler Town and Country Limited with a 3.8L engine that has 110,000 miles on it. The transmission will shudder (like driving on breakdown lane strips) at speeds around 40 mph. The fluid was changed with the proper fluid and filter installed but the issue did not stop. The transmission fluid was changed a second time with not positive results. Any thoughts on the cause of this shuddering? There is not a lot of information on this issue from what I have read. Thanks for any assistance.

Are you sure it's the transmission ? Is she changing up / down without any problem - and staying in OD whilst cruising ?
If the shuddering disappears at a higher / lower speed whilst in the same gear then maybe you've damaged a tyre / wheel ?
Out of balance wheels give a definite vibration at various speeds - hope this s what it is as its a very easy fix.

Thank you for your response. I don't believe it is a tire as the issues is not consistent. It goes away from time to time and the car shifts great. It shifts up and down fine but at the 40 mph mark I get the shudder but as I mentioned, sometimes it goes away. Very odd. I've read posts from other people who have a similar issue but no one has a cure.

It's not your transmission. It's your Ign coils. Buy the six pack, and install all six. I've had this happen on my 2015 more than once. Was replacing one coil at a time, and it kept happening on a different coil. Finally bought a six pack of all six coils, and problem solved. Quick easy fix.
