Default voyager 3.3 won't start

Hi, I have a chryler grand voyager, it's twenty years old and I have had it from new. in the last couple of months it won't start, I think its something to do with the alarm system. I have contacted a main dealer in chester but becouse of the age of the vehicle they don't have any dinostics available. has any one experienced this problem and can you help.? As it's only done 72 k it would be a shame to scrap it.
Cheers Danny.

Not sure if it'll work on the older models, but the key dance might help you get the fault code out of it.

What makes you think it's the alarm system, does it have the red led on top of the steering column and is that flashing or solid when you try and start?

What does the dash do when you put the key in, go into ON position do you get all dash lights come on, self test, etc. When you turn to fire the starter motor what do you get, anything, any clicks?
Can you get it to start in any way at all?

More questions than answers, but give us a bit more info Danny and hopefully we'll get some life back into it!

Hi Andy, when I open the door with the fob the red light goes out. Aftering placing key to the on position the top lights come on,but the main binacle lights stay out and the fuel gauge does'nt show. the engine will start for a couple of seconds and then stops.yesterday it actally started, took it for a run. today it's back to normal, won't start. I'm wondering if there's a loose connection. at the moment it's too unreliable to go any distance.
Rgd Danny.
