Won't start and tried everything
This all started in October. At first my van (2011 T&C) was difficult to start, but I attributed it to colder weather. Then suddenly it shutdown on me while I was on the interstate after taking it off cruise control. I pulled over and it started right up.
After having my battery, alternator, and fuses checked I figured it was my fuel pump. I had my fuel pump replaced and then it wouldn't start at all. I found that the fuel pump relay could be the problem, so I bought the recall kit for the Caravan and installed it. The van would start, but dies within 30 seconds or immediately if the gas was touched.
Took it to the dealership and they told me it was the TIPM so I sent it off to be refurbished. When I got it back and installed it, it won't start at all. Tested the battery again and it tested bad, so I replaced it. Still nothing.
Between parts and towing I've spent over $1500 trying to get my van back on the road. I need it for my frequent trips to hospitals. It's the only vehicle I have that can accommodate all of my medical equipment. I'm getting desperate. I'm on a fixed income, so I've been trying to do all of the work myself because I can't afford the $150 per hour price tag of the dealership. (Van has not been modified for medical use)
