Does anyone know what year the cirrus stopped using a separator plate in-between the shift solenoid and the transmission? We are trying to replace the shift solenoid, as when we bought my Chrysler cirrus it only went into 1st gear and reverse. Without the plate, the solenoid and gasket line up to the holes on the transmission, so we cannot figure out the purpose of the plate. We also found that on a video, the owner with the same year, engine, and transmission replaced theirs and had no separator plate.
Any ideas?
