Default Need a replacement convertible top

01 Sebring convertible

My car has its original top and it is just starting to have a minor leak in one spot while driving. How makes the best quality top for the money? I have see replacements on Amazon starting at $200 and going up to $400. Other places I have seen everything from $300 to $1000. I will be installing it myself. Just looking for a quality top that will fit and keep the water out.

that's what I bought for ours.
it's one of the top of the line tops as well.
it is a royal pain to install though; there's 3 layers at the bottom that need to be set up *just* right, and the markings on the tops are... lacking.
took me 3 tries to get it right and tight.

do you have or have you watched the OE install videos?

I saw that video. That is the one that made me decide I and my sons could do this ourselves. After restoring a 41 Chevy this should be doable. We will just take a picture of each step as we pull things apart so we can put them back together. Plan a weekend and take our time. If it takes a few days that is ok.

The car is 23 years old but my daily driver and only has 89000 on it. I hope to get 5 years out of it. I work from home so it does not see many miles but is driven in all weather including snow.

I keep seeing the Kuafu top for $199 on Amazon and wondering if it would fit the bill. It has a glass window at that price and claims to be sailcloth. Is it any good?

Taking pics during disassembly is smart. Helped me a ton when I did mine.
