The P0138 is an 02-sensor circuit code. The P2097 is a post catalyst fuel code - trim system too rich. Could the O2 sensor be causing the P2097 code? Any other suggestions?

 

will what I know through my experince is that a code of the o2 sensor will convert to 2097 if the problem have been running for a long time or if both of the readings before and after the cat are the same so if you have cleared the cat or you have the code for long time it might be the cause

  • P2097 or P2099 Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System High Limit
  so it seams that you have a sensore problem since both of them at the same side
