&* has a new Edelbrock that was put on when all was rebuild. Car has under 25 miles on it .I offered to re-jet it as it is running rich, I think smog is treating the carb as a off road or he is just a non loyal jerk. We sent mega business to him.

I don't have any smog testing in my area but I'm sure the Edelbrock would be considered off road.
Visually its very obvious that its not OEM so that would be an issue in some/many locations.
Is it sitting on an aluminum intake as well?? Edelbrock or other?? Model # ??
Many alum intakes accept spread bore carbs as well as square bore EG: AFB Holley Edelbrock.
Would the smog guy accept a Thermoquad on your present intake??
Thanks

It is a Edelbrock aluminum manifold, but it is machined for the AFB and would need an adapter for anything else. I really appreciate the help so I can keep this beauty alive and enjoy driving it. Those small blocks did run great. I tried the allpar and will have to pay them for my free membership. I was all GM till the cars from other countries came in.
Yes I drive those, but thumbs up on the beautiful cars that were built here.
This Chrysler was attempted to be rebuilt by a jerk. Then the retired veteran had my son do it. He collected all the parts and went to work in his shop. which is next to my shop.
My son was shot 5 times by a thief and was just about done with the car. Son had less than 1% chance of living and lost part of his brain and skull, still has a bullet in his brain, so I have reasons to keep the car, but I know GM, but need education on the car. I guess I could go into the old manuals I have and look up specifications, but they are falling apart because of the extreme heat here in Palm Springs CA.
I am very active on the Corvette forum and have 2. Also a 57 Chevy convert that I am restoring. Then a 74 Laguna S3 that I have driven since 84.
I love the old stuff because it was simple and easy to work on and when gasoline was real I could get 20 mpg on the road with 350 HP.
Well, our dummies in politics want to have all electric cars!! I pay road tax (over 1 buck) and electric can use the road without road tax. Also here in the land of fruits and nuts, we do not have the electricity to run our homes, black outs, but where are we going to get power to charge electric cars. Because of those cars gas here is about 5 bucks a gallon and our politicians do not have a clue as of what I said.
Sorry for blasting off, but I will drive these cars until gasoline is out of the question, then take the cat off and burn leaded AV gas.
Thanks, always had a shop and twisted a wrench at a dealership and rebuild aircraft engines! No, I machine the parts. Now all buy new ones! There are no more mechanics. R&R people.
