1998 Voyager (UK); a/c, recirc & rear sceeen lights flashing.
We just picked up a really nice, low mileage 1998 Voyager today. The only problem not rectified before we picked it up is that the cluster of switches under & around the edge of the stereo fascia (a/c, recirculated air, rear wash/wipe etc) are all flashing.
The dealer is going to fix it after the weekend but I'm impatient as we're away on a shakedown cruise Sunday!
I did hear that this is a common problem every time the battery is renewed (ours has just had a brand new battery fitted this week) and that people on Ebay are selling the info. to fix this for GBP5.00 per time instead of the dealership's 100.00 per time.
I've scanned the car with my Actron OBDII code scanner and there are no codes set on the computer. MIL light is not on and scnner says "pass, no codes returned" for all tests, KOER ad KOEO.
The lights stop flashing and everything works normally once the motor has been running for about 5-10 minutes. Before that, anything that was switched on before the ignition was last turned off (a/c, rear wipers, whatever), remains on and anything that was off stays off until the lights stop flashing.
Given what I've read about this "fault", I'm surprised that I couldn't find anything in the archive about the fix, it must be a frequent occurrence.
Any info I can get would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
